The mother of a 19-month-old girl who fell ill during a trip to Mexico was emotional as she arrived back in the UK. Sienna-Rose suffered a brain hemorrhage while in Cancun with her family, leading to surgery to address a blood clot. Stranded far from home, the family raised funds to bring Sienna home, successfully organizing a medical flight that landed in Liverpool.
With assistance from Lia’s Wings, a charity supporting critically ill children, the repatriation flight was made possible. As Sienna arrived at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, she was greeted by loved ones wearing welcoming attire and holding banners and balloons. Her mother expressed immense relief, mentioning the challenging journey and Sienna’s current condition.
