Journalist Polly Barton shared details of her conversation with the actress about her marriage, which took place six months after her wedding. Following a public statement by Brooklyn and the subsequent escalation of the feud, Polly revealed insights from her discussion with Nicola.
Polly observed, “I noticed Nicola’s hesitation in mentioning David or Victoria by name. She primarily used terms like ‘Brooklyn’s mom’ or ‘dad’ during our conversation.”
In a recent op-ed for Grazia, Polly recounted a specific exchange with Nicola. Nicola explained, “I was in a group chat with my mom, Victoria, and Leslie, my stylist of 10 years. We were discussing the design process while I was busy filming Lola James.”
She further elaborated, “Victoria later informed my mom that her atelier couldn’t produce the dress in time, assuming I was occupied on set. This led to a fallout concerning the dress between Brooklyn and his parents.”
Brooklyn had accused his parents of sabotaging his relationship and pressuring him to relinquish rights to his name before his wedding. He claimed Victoria disrupted their first dance and behaved inappropriately towards him.
