Areas of the UK where women ‘track their partners’ to see if they’re cheating

When it comes to romance, nobody likes to talk about cheating.

After all, it’s a topic that few people like to think about or contemplate, but it does happen. Relationships can be wonderful, but they can also be hard, and you may find yourself at a point where you grow suspicious of someone’s behaviour.

It turns out some people are so curious that they’ve taken to tracking their significant others using an app. And, in the UK, people living in certain parts of the country are proving to be good spies.

CheatEye.ai, the UK’s leading Tinder profile search tool, has revealed the top UK cities where suspicions of infidelity are at their highest. The data, gathered from thousands of searches, paints a striking picture of modern relationships, trust issues and digital-age dating anxieties.

According to exclusive data, London dominates the rankings, with 27.4% of all cheating-related searches originating from the capital. Men are the most searched-for gender (62.4%), suggesting that partners are more likely to check whether their male significant other is using dating apps.

Samantha Hayes, relationship and infidelity expert at CheatEye, said: “Our analysis reveals that, while London leads in searches driven by cheating suspicions, regional differences suggest unique challenges in relationship trust across the UK.

“In high-density cities like London, where dating apps are widely used, many partners are seeking reassurance. This data offers a fresh perspective on how digital behaviours are reshaping modern relationships.”

While London has the highest volume of searches, Manchester and Birmingham show similarly high levels of concern – again, with most searches being for male partners.

Manchester accounts for 8.8% of searches – 63.8% of searches were for men and 36.2% for women. Birmingham follows closely behind with 8.3%, and has the highest percentage of searches for male partners at 69% male, and 31% female.

Meanwhile, Glasgow ranked in fourth, contributing to 4.7% of searches – 62.1% male and 37.9% female. With Birmingham standing out as the UK city where partners are conducting the highest level of searches for male infidelity, this data raises key questions about trust, regional relationship dynamics, and the growing influence of digital technology on modern love.

If you’re wondering who’s most concenered about their partner’s behaviour, it turns out people between the ages of 18 and 24 appear to have the most worries.

With dating apps becoming a staple of modern relationships, younger people appear to be more digitally vigilant – or paranoid – about their partner’s online activity.

Adding another layer to the data, the most commonly searched names when partners suspect cheating include Jack, James and Josh for men and Emma, Chloe and Laura for women.
