Experts reveal two biggest trends for family holidays in 2025

Sun, sea, sand and a change of scenery. During the last of the chillier months, families are hitting that search button online and booking time away more than ever, with numbers on the rise. And it’s little wonder. There are fantastic bargains and deals at this time of the year ahead of the summer holiday hike in prices.

And a new report has revealed that this year there are two new trends emerging for 2025.

Holidaymakers want to focus on spending time with family and to create new memories together. This trend is reflected in search demand, with over 18,000 searches for ‘family holidays’ and 2,900 for ‘family activities’ each month, a huge 53% increase on the previous year.

With a third of people in the UK going on family-focused trips each year, and the emphasis on family time set to grow and there are lots of options for fun-loving families.

We know that trying to organise a family reunion can be tricky with so many different people involved so why not give a caravan park holiday a try? They allow families to come together and create treasured memories.

These trips are truly for everyone with locations across the country and even celebrities love them – last year Coleen Rooney and her I’m a Celebrity co-stars reminisced about favourite family memories made on caravan park trips.

Park Holidays (www.parkholiday.co.uk) have shared reasons why it might be a great choice for your family this year.

Packing has never been easier

Packing, especially with young kids, tends to take away from the joy of a break. With a holiday home, you don’t need to worry about this. No heavy suitcases required and you can even keep spare bathing suits, bucket and spaces and clothes in your holiday home and never have to worry about forgetting anything again!

You can bring the whole family

You’ll never again have to worry about leaving your dog behind – 40 of their holiday park home sites are also perfect for pets. With some of the UK’s finest coastal and countryside walks on the doorstep of caravan parks, your four-legged friend will enjoy your holiday home as much as you will.

A break that your kids will actually enjoy

Plenty of fresh air and beautiful surroundings to explore, and family friendly entertainment and leisure opportunities mean that little ones will be spoilt for choice.

Community and likeminded people

Family getaways aren’t just for the kids. It’s also a chance for you to enjoy yourself. You can make new friends with likeminded people and socialise together over dinner in your caravan.
