Love Island’s Zara McDermott was recently seen enjoying a cosy date with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson following her split from Made In Chelsea icon Sam Thompson. Zara and Sam went their separate ways in December after five years together, much to the shock of their fans.
Zara and Sam went through many ups and down, with the latter even forgiving her when it was revealed she cheated on him with Brahim Fouradi, a music industry executive who has worked on talent shows such as The X Factor as part of his duties as A&R director at Simon Cowell’s company Syco.
Their fallout was seen on MIC but they later made up and became closer than ever, with the two moving in together and sharing pets. However, their five-year romance came to an end in December and she has since seemingly moved on with none other than One Direction’s Louis.
One particular fan was shocked to spot the documentary maker and the singer tucking into a lavish meal as they enjoyed a cosy date night in a small restaurant, which is part of a luxury hotel, in Suffolk. According to sources, the pair enjoyed a luxury £100 dinner of fish and chips as well as cocktails at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh – where rooms cost up to £315 a night.
“They looked every bit the happy couple,” an insider shared, “Louis is a proper gentleman so this trip was something he planned and put on for Zara. He was really thoughtful and wanted to make it special. They share the same values and are both incredibly close with their families.” The pair are said to be taking it slow and “enjoying each other’s company”.
Speaking to The Sun, a source revealed “Louis whisked Zara away” for their recent break in Suffolk and charmed the reality TV star.
“Louis is a proper gentleman so this trip was something he planned and put on for Zara,” the insider told the publication. “He was really thoughtful and wanted to make it special. They share the same values and are both incredibly close with their families.” They added that Zara and Louis are taking things slow at the moment but are “enjoying each other’s company”.
Meanwhile, a new episode of Sam’s podcast, Staying Relevant, was released just before the photos of Louis and Zara surfaced. During his chat with Celebs Go Dating star Paul C Brunson, he said: ” I went through a breakup and everyone keeps saying they can see sadness behind the eyes.”
“I’m terrified about where I am going Paul. The way I see it I am a plane and the pilot has passed out in the cockpit and they are like: ‘Does anyone know how to fly a plane?’,” he also admitted.
Sam insisted he wouldn’t be rushing into a new romance. Asked by Paul what he was doing for self-love and focusing on himself in the wake of his split, he said: “Not much to be honest with you. I suppose a lot of people look for validation in other people and they look for the other person instantly to fill that hole. I can’t do that.”
