Professional boxer Jake Paul has dismissed the idea of a rematch with his long-standing rival Tommy Fury. In a recent Instagram post, Fury criticized Paul for considering a fight with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Fury confidently stated that Paul couldn’t defeat him, even when Fury had a broken hand during their previous bout in 2023.
Despite Fury’s claims of victory in their last match, ongoing verbal sparring between the two fighters has fueled speculation about a potential rematch. However, it seems that Paul is not interested in facing Fury again.
In response to Fury’s taunts, Paul took to Twitter, declaring that the opportunity for a rematch with Fury has passed. Paul emphasized his focus on building the sport of boxing while implying that Fury is primarily interested in financial gain and socializing at the pub.
Interestingly, Paul recently announced a partnership with British super-bantamweight Ramla Ali under his promotion company, Most Valuable Promotions. This collaboration aims to support female fighters and create a lasting legacy in the sport.
While Paul has been inactive in the ring since defeating Mike Tyson last November, he is back in training and preparing for his next fight. Despite expressing interest in a potential match against Joshua, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has cast doubt on the likelihood of such a bout, citing concerns about the mismatch in skill levels and experience between the two fighters.
