UK Snowfall Forecast: 3cm/hr Rate Hits England, Scotland, Wales

Must read

Newly published weather maps have unveiled the specific date when England, Scotland, and Wales will experience snowfall at a rate of 3cm per hour.

According to WXCharts, there will be a slight improvement in temperatures in the upcoming days, followed by a return to colder conditions later this month. The latest forecasts indicate that multiple regions in the UK, including parts of Scotland, Wales, and England, will witness snow starting at 6 am on March 26.

The Scottish Highlands are expected to receive the highest snow accumulation, with an average of 3cm per hour predicted. Areas in Wales such as Swansea and Cardiff are also likely to be covered in snow.

Later in the day, snowfall is anticipated in northern England, particularly around Greater Manchester, as reported by Express. While some areas will avoid snowfall, showers are expected to affect many parts of the country, especially in southern regions like London, Canterbury, and Brighton.

The Met Office has cautioned the public to brace for unsettled conditions towards the end of the month. The extended forecast from March 14 to March 28 suggests a shift to less settled weather later on, with an increasing chance of rain or showers by the weekend and into the final week of March.

Looking ahead to early April, the Met Office anticipates a mix of dry spells and wet weather in the form of rain or showers. The long-range forecast from March 29 to April 12 indicates potential variations in temperature, with the possibility of extended periods of dry conditions or wetter episodes.

Some showers are expected in easternmost areas overnight, while other regions will see dry conditions with clear skies. Frost and fog patches are likely, along with some icy patches. Breezy conditions are forecasted for the far north and south.

Following the clearing of frost and fog, the weather is expected to remain mostly dry with some cloud cover leading to isolated showers. Patchy rain is expected in the north. Winds are expected to be light.

Sunday is likely to be mostly dry but fairly cloudy, with increasing breeziness on Monday and Tuesday. A few showers may occur in the southwest, but sunshine is expected to prevail in other areas, with temperatures gradually becoming milder.
