WWE Legend Mick Foley Hospitalized After Car Crash

Must read

WWE icon Mick Foley has been hospitalized following a harrowing car accident. The 59-year-old former wrestler, known for his personas Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love, alarmed his followers by sharing a picture of his wrecked vehicle on social media.

The image displayed the severely damaged car, with a shattered windshield and a charred hood, having veered off the road and landed in a field. In the background, a fire truck can be seen, while Foley is pictured next to the wreckage gesturing with his thumb.

Fortunately, the WWE Hall of Famer from 2013 emerged relatively unscathed, sustaining only minor injuries and a mild concussion. Updating his condition on Instagram, Foley expressed, “TOUGH DAY FOR MICK! I have no idea how I am still walking around after this accident. I’m in the hospital now, and I’m sore from my knees to my neck, including a minor concussion.”

Responding to Foley’s post, fellow WWE legend Kurt Angle remarked, “You actually did more damage in the ring than with that car. GOD Bless you Mick.”

Fans also breathed a sigh of relief. One supporter wrote, “I heard your theme music as soon as I saw this picture. The legend lives!!!” Another commented, “Given your history, this seems like a fairly routine Tuesday. So happy you’re doing ok!” A third fan added, “Oh no!!!!! I’m sorry, Mick! You are tough as nails!!!”

Throughout his career, Foley endured numerous injuries, earning a reputation as a prominent figure in the Hardcore Era of wrestling. Despite winning three WWE titles, he underwent significant physical tolls, executing daring stunts in his performances.

Foley’s memorable moments in the ring include being thrown off the top of Hell in a Cell by The Undertaker, driven through a flaming table by Edge, and struck in the head with a chair by The Rock. Over time, he suffered five broken ribs, eight documented concussions, and a torn ACL.

Additionally, Foley lost his front teeth, fractured his thumb, wrist, and a toe, dislocated multiple bones, received 54 stitches in his arm, and endured second-degree burns to his arm and shoulder.

Reflecting on past events like the WWE Royal Rumble in 1999, when he was repeatedly hit with a chair by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Foley shared, “That was a bad night, I could have been seriously hurt, so I certainly hope no one ever tries anything remotely like that. I was hurting. I mean, cumulatively, you just can’t take a lot of shots like that.”

He continued, “So I have to be really careful in my everyday life. I don’t get jolted. I can’t ride rollercoasters anymore, I have an aversion to bright lights. But all things considered, I think I’m doing pretty well.”

In other news, Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports package before the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £336 and presenting over 1,400 live matches covering the Premier League, EFL, and more. Sky will broadcast a minimum of 215 live Premier League games in the upcoming season, a potential increase of up to 100 matches.
