“Wisconsin Woman Sentenced to Life for Gruesome Murder”

Must read

Taylor Schabusiness has been handed a life sentence in prison with no possibility of parole following her conviction for the murder of her former partner, Shad Thyrion. Schabusiness, a resident of Wisconsin, had been in a relationship with her husband Warren since 2017, but by 2022, Warren was serving a prison sentence for drug distribution.

During Warren’s incarceration, Schabusiness spent her time socializing and reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend, Shad. On the night of February 21, 2022, Schabusiness picked up Shad, and they attended a party together. In the early hours of February 23, Shad’s mother heard noises and discovered her son’s decapitated head in a bucket, prompting her to call emergency services.

Upon investigation, authorities found Shad’s severed head and genitals in containers concealed under a towel. Further searches in the basement unveiled disturbing evidence, including bloodstains, additional body parts stored in bags, and Shad’s torso along with a foot and a knife in a tote bag.

Schabusiness emerged as the prime suspect as she was the last person seen with Shad before the incident. Police located her with blood-stained clothing and discovered more body parts in her vehicle, leading to her arrest.

In her confession, Schabusiness detailed a sequence of events where, after consuming drugs, she engaged in sexual activities with Shad that escalated into a fatal incident of strangulation. Despite pleading insanity, a judge deemed her fit for trial, resulting in her conviction in July 2023 for murder, third-degree sexual abuse, and mutilation of a corpse.

Subsequently, Schabusiness received a life sentence without parole for the murder and an additional 10-and-a-half years for the additional charges. The judge emphasized the severity of the crime, labeling it as a gross violation of human values and community standards.

Warren, Schabusiness’ husband, expressed unwavering support for his wife from prison.
