Arsenal is already preparing for the upcoming 2025/26 season, with talks of a significant overhaul of their squad underway.
The team has struggled with injuries and inconsistency this season, leading to their fading hopes of clinching the Premier League title after a 1-1 draw with Manchester United. Liverpool currently leads comfortably by 15 points, leaving Arsenal to focus on their Champions League aspirations as their domestic campaign nears its end.
The club is actively seeking a new striker, as well as looking at options for wingers and central midfielders. However, to accommodate new signings, Arsenal will have to offload some first-team players.
According to reports, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jorginho, Thomas Partey, and Kieran Tierney are expected to depart this summer to provide funds for manager Mikel Arteta’s transfer plans. The combined value of these players is estimated at £55 million, but with three of them approaching the end of their contracts, Arsenal might not fetch that amount.
Partey, the only one among the quartet getting regular playing time, is also one of the highest earners at the club, earning £200,000 per week. With his contract expiring soon and turning 32, Arsenal may look to part ways with him.
Jorginho, who has seen reduced playing time due to competition, could also be on his way out as Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi is anticipated to join. Zinchenko has fallen out of favor, and despite interest from other clubs, a departure in the summer seems probable.
Tierney, like Zinchenko, has struggled for game time and is rumored to be considering a return to Celtic with his contract expiring soon.
