Recently released video footage has documented the tragic final moments of two teenage girls before they were brutally killed in broad daylight by a stalker. Abigail Williams and Liberty German, affectionately known as Abby and Libby, were discovered dead, buried under sticks and branches near a local landmark in Delphi, Indiana, in 2017.
The 13-year-old and 14-year-old girls were left for dead after their throats were slashed by the assailant. The murders, which garnered global attention, remained unsolved for several years until 2024 when their killer was finally brought to justice. The girls had been enjoying a day off from school, hiking in the area, when they were attacked.
A chilling video clip, captured by one of the girls, showed them walking on a bridge on a sunny morning. In the footage, a man, later dubbed “bridge guy,” can be briefly seen walking behind them. This video, along with a distant picture of the mysterious figure, became crucial evidence in the case.
The footage was instrumental in the 2024 trial of Richard Matthew Allen, a local resident, who was convicted of the double murder. The video captured the girls’ fear as they noticed the man following them, prompting them to run. The girls’ bodies were found the day after the incident when they failed to meet a family member as planned.
During the trial, experts suggested that the girls were likely left to bleed out for several minutes before succumbing to their injuries. Following Allen’s conviction, a group supporting him launched efforts to challenge what they claim was a wrongful conviction, while Allen maintains his innocence.
