Bernadette Hunt, known as Falcon from the iconic TV series Gladiators, passed away in 2023 at the age of 59 after battling cancer. Her will revealed a substantial inheritance left to her children, totaling hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Probate documents disclosed that Bernadette’s estate amounted to £293,000 after settling debts and expenses from the original £444,000. Her son, Adam, and daughter, Angel, inherited nearly £300,000 from her will.
Gladiators, a beloved 90s TV show, made a comeback last year, three decades after its debut. Unfortunately, Bernadette, also known as Falcon, passed away just before filming for the revived series, leaving a void for fans.
Having been a part of every series of Gladiators until its end, Bernadette’s absence was deeply felt by viewers. The show featured members of the public engaging in challenges against a team of ‘gladiators’, composed of bodybuilders and gymnasts.
With an audience of over 14 million viewers, the original Gladiators cast became household names, launching personalities like stern referee John Anderson and hosts Ulrika Jonsson and John Fashanu into stardom.
Rick Jango, the partner of Bernadette’s elder sister, announced her passing in a heartfelt Facebook post, praising her kind nature and remembering her as the nicest ‘Gladiator’ who always took time for fans.
Throughout her time on Gladiators, Bernadette also competed on International Gladiators and participated in live performances, showcasing her skills in challenges like Joust, Powerball, and Tilt, with Queen’s hit “Breakthru” as her entrance music.
Before her TV career, the Brighton-born star trained as a ballerina and aerobics instructor. She gained recognition in the competitive scene, winning titles like Miss Natural Health, Miss Novice Britain, and others.
Following her departure from Gladiators in 1999, Bernadette transitioned to a career as a personal trainer in Basingstoke. Her partner Mark and their children, Angel and Adam, survive her.
