“Revolution Bars Owner Sets Deadline for Sale Bids”

Must read

The company that owns Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, which operates 62 venues under brands like Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs, decided to put itself up for sale in October 2025 due to declining sales.

According to reports from Sky News, interested bidders must submit offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale process. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective’s sites, but it is uncertain if they will make a bid.

The company, formerly known as Revolution Bars, rebranded as The Revel Collective in 2024. In April 2024, the company initiated a sales process but later abandoned it after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. Following a major restructuring approved by the High Court, around 36 sites were closed in 2024.

In its latest update in October 2025, company executives cited challenging economic conditions and government interventions as factors hindering their progress since the restructuring. Revenue fell by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months ending September, primarily due to a 10.5% decrease in like-for-like sales in the bars business.

The company attributes the sales decline to cost-of-living pressures on its younger clientele. Additionally, its debt increased from £22.1 million in June to £25.3 million. Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express chairman, took over as chairman of The Revel Collective in September, succeeding Keith Edelman.

Johnson has expressed interest in exploring new opportunities and pursuing acquisitions of established companies with unique characteristics that could lead them to market leadership.
