WhatsApp clarified that About will now be more prominently featured in individual chats and profiles, making it easier for users to engage with each other. Users can also directly respond to someone’s About by tapping on it in a chat. Additionally, About statuses will expire after one day, but users can customize the duration or visibility in the Settings section by selecting a timer.
For users concerned about privacy, WhatsApp ensures that individuals have control over who can view their About status. Users can choose to limit visibility to only their contacts or broaden it as desired in the privacy settings.
