However, a Reddit user recently shared a clever trick they use to keep their bathroom floor looking pristine in under five minutes, using a budget-friendly tool that costs only £1.50.
In a post on the social media platform, the user revealed how they came across this tip several months ago and how it has significantly improved their cleaning routine. They expressed, “This has completely transformed my approach to dusting and cleaning the bathroom floor.”
The key to this efficient cleaning method is a basic squeegee that costs just £1.50. By sharing a photo of their gleaming tile floor alongside a squeegee and a pile of dust, the user explained the simplicity of the technique.
Reflecting on their experience, they mentioned, “I used a squeegee in the bathtub/shower before, but it never occurred to me to use a separate one for the tile floors. I felt a bit silly for not thinking of it sooner!”
The process now takes them less than 30 seconds to dust the floor, followed by using a disposable duster cloth to clean the bottom of the toilet and pick up the dust collected by the squeegee. They emphasized that the entire routine, including sanitizing the floor, typically lasts between three to five minutes, making it feel effortless.

I prefer not to spread bathroom bacteria around the house, so conventional cleaning methods are not suitable for me when it comes to the bathroom.”
