“Tesco Offers Free ‘Wonky’ Christmas Trees on Dec. 6!”

Must read

Tesco is offering complimentary Christmas trees for a limited time. These trees, described as “wonky,” are not typically sold due to minor imperfections like uneven branches or a slight tilt. However, Tesco will distribute them at no cost on Saturday, December 6, in selected stores, urging recipients to consider donating to Fareshare and Trussell, food charity organizations.

The free trees will be available at specific Tesco locations, starting at 10 am on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to one tree per household. Comparable Christmas trees elsewhere are priced at £13.99 in Aldi and £14.99 at Home Bargains.

Tesco’s UK CEO, Ashwin Prasad, emphasized embracing the imperfect charm of these trees, noting that imperfections can enhance the holiday spirit. A recent Tesco survey revealed that many Brits view the second weekend of December as the ideal time to decorate their trees. Despite this, the majority believe that Christmas does not have to be flawless to be special, with imperfect moments adding to the festive ambiance.

The survey, conducted by Censuswide, polled 2,000 UK adults between August 22 and 28, and December 1 and 2. Moreover, Tesco announced a promotion for Clubcard members, offering double points for every £1 spent on gift cards throughout December, applicable to all third-party gift cards purchased at Tesco stores.

With approximately 24 million Clubcard members, Tesco rewards loyal customers with points on various purchases, including groceries, fuel, Tesco Mobile, and Tesco credit card transactions. Customers can accumulate points for vouchers redeemable at Tesco stores starting at 150 points, equivalent to £1.50.
