“Astronaut’s Wife Reveals Husband’s UFO Belief”

Must read

Anita Mitchell, the wife of the late NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who was the sixth person to walk on the moon in 1971, has shared insights into her husband’s belief in UFOs. She mentioned that Edgar firmly held the belief in UFOs and that many astronauts and pilots, including his Apollo crewmate James McDivitt, had encountered unexplained phenomena during their space missions.

Anita recounted an incident where Project Mercury astronaut Leroy Gordon Cooper Jr. mentioned seeing something extraordinary during a dinner party at their house. Cooper, a seasoned NASA pilot, emphasized the unmatched speed and altitude of the unidentified object he witnessed, noting that it surpassed any known human technology.

Edgar Mitchell, a former US Navy Captain and member of the Apollo 14 crew, was among the elite group of 12 astronauts to set foot on the Moon. Anita Mitchell, in her book titled “You Don’t Look Like An Astronaut’s Wife,” shared personal anecdotes and stories from early NASA astronauts, reflecting on the skepticism and curiosity surrounding their experiences.

Before his passing in 2016, Edgar Mitchell was vocal about his belief that the US government was concealing information regarding UFO sightings and their potential ties to extraterrestrial life. He publicly advocated for the disclosure of classified data in 2009, asserting his conviction in the existence of alien life and the government’s suppression of such knowledge.

Anita Mitchell echoed her husband’s sentiments, highlighting the shared perspective among many astronauts that there exists technology beyond human comprehension. She questioned the notion of humanity being the sole intelligent life in the universe, suggesting that the universe may hold mysteries beyond our current understanding.
