“Call the Midwife Star Helen George Eyes The Traitors”

Must read

Birmingham-born actress Helen George, known for her role in the popular BBC period drama, Call the Midwife, expressed interest in trying her luck on The Traitors after being a fan of the celebrity version during her participation in Strictly Come Dancing in 2015.

As speculation swirls about who will replace former Strictly presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Helen firmly dismissed the idea of taking on a presenting role, emphasizing her identity as an actor.

Helen, who has portrayed Trixie Franklin in Call the Midwife for 14 years, hinted at potential replacements for the presenting gig, mentioning Rylan and Holly Willoughby as possibilities amid the anticipated changes.

Despite ruling out a presenting career, Helen has not closed the door on participating in The Traitors, currently in its fourth season and gaining popularity. While she has only caught snippets of the current season, she expressed admiration for the celebrity version and its cast.

Reflecting on her time on Strictly and her personal life, Helen shared details of her relationship with Jack Ashton, which ended after seven years. She later found love with Dan Innes, sharing happiness in their relationship away from the entertainment industry.

Approaching the new year without setting resolutions, Helen plans a relaxed start before returning to the theater stage for a production of High Society at the Barbican. Balancing her work across TV, film, and theater, Helen expressed gratitude for her diverse opportunities in the industry.
