“EE Surpasses Competitors with WiFi 7 Upgrade”

Must read

EE has recently upgraded its broadband services, surpassing competitors like Sky and Virgin Media. The company now includes Smart Hub 7 Plus routers with all broadband packages, offering faster speeds and improved coverage through WiFi 7 technology.

WiFi 7 is the latest wireless standard, delivering speeds up to 46 Gbps, lower latency, and increased capacity compared to Wi-Fi 6/6E. This advancement is particularly beneficial for activities like gaming and high-quality streaming.

Prices for EE broadband packages start at £28.99 per month for a 24-month contract, going up to £39.99 for the super-fast 900 Mbps option. Sky only offers its new WiFi 7 hub with gigabit broadband packages, while Virgin Media has yet to include a WiFi 7 router in its offerings.

Despite these advantages, it’s important to note that not all devices are compatible with WiFi 7, and its range may be limited for larger households. EE aims to attract new customers by offering up to £300 in exit fees for those switching to their service.

While EE’s broadband is praised for its reliability and customer service, Uswitch suggests that those looking to save money or focus on basic internet tasks may find better alternatives with providers like Plusnet, NOW Broadband, or TalkTalk. However, EE’s slightly higher-priced packages may offer a more trouble-free experience during the contract period.
