An ex-beauty pageant winner is being sought by authorities for performing a failed penis enlargement surgery on a client and causing harm to several other individuals who were hospitalized due to unauthorized beauty procedures. Luana Nadejda Jaime, originally from Brazil, is currently evading law enforcement after allegations surfaced that she falsified her medical credentials.
Reportedly posing as a nurse, Jaime conducted “invasive” cosmetic treatments at her clinic in Aparecida de Goiania, Goias state. Following severe injuries suffered by four patients, the police were notified. One man disclosed that he experienced erectile dysfunction post the botched procedure.
The victim believed he was receiving a dermal filler injection to enhance his manhood last year. Authorities stated that he lost functionality in his private area following the treatment. Subsequently, state police have issued an Interpol alert for former Miss Goias Jaime, who fled to Europe upon learning of impending arrest due to malpractice complaints from four former clients.
Meanwhile, Jaime’s partner, Maria Silvania Ribeiro da Silva, was apprehended at the Lunar Clinic. City police chief Deborah Melo mentioned that the arrest warrant is with Interpol, and Jaime’s specific whereabouts in Europe remain unknown.
Further, two patients had to be urgently hospitalized after adverse reactions to treatments at the clinic. Prosecutors revealed that both women misrepresented themselves as qualified nurses despite police warnings about their procedures last year.
According to the police, the women offered unauthorized invasive aesthetic procedures and falsely portrayed themselves as nursing specialists in advanced aesthetics without the required qualifications. The Goias Regional Nursing Council confirmed the removal of both women from their member list and stated that legal action is now necessary.
In a tragic incident last year in Brazil, a mother passed away after receiving a dangerous filler injection for a buttock enhancement procedure. Aline Maria Ferreira da Silva, 33, underwent the treatment at the Ame-se clinic and tragically succumbed to cardiac arrest after being transferred to multiple hospitals.
Her grieving mother demanded justice, emphasizing her daughter’s trust in the clinic owner and the need for accountability in such cases of medical malpractice.
