A father of two who was in good physical condition suddenly collapsed and passed away shortly after sharing a light moment with his colleagues at work. Ste Snell, aged 32, kissed his family goodbye as he left for his workplace in Liverpool on Sunday, March 2. Despite appearing healthy, he suffered a cardiac arrest soon after consuming a protein yogurt while his friends opted for sausage and bacon sandwiches for breakfast.
According to Ste’s partner Michelle, he was joking with a coworker before the unexpected incident occurred. His friends discovered him lying on the ground following his collapse. Despite being airlifted to the hospital and put into a medically induced coma, medical professionals could not sustain his heart for more than 40 seconds post-collapse.
James Jones, Ste’s closest friend, expressed shock over his sudden death. He recounted finding Ste motionless on the floor after a casual exchange with a colleague. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, leading to his transfer to Broadgreen Hospital.
Despite undergoing 17 cardioversion procedures to normalize his heart rate, Ste’s heart would only beat for a short duration. Eventually, his family made the tough decision to terminate life support as his organs began to fail.
Jessica, James’s wife, highlighted Ste’s devotion to his family and described him as an exceptional father and partner. She emphasized his love for his partner, children, mother, and his unwavering support for Liverpool FC. The family aims to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest, and a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with the financial challenges following Ste’s untimely passing.
