Britney Spears has posted another concerning video on Instagram after worrying fans with her online activity.
The former pop princess, 43, has caused widespread concern on social media over recent years, including sharing a bizarre clip of herself dancing with knives – as well as a full-frontal nude video.
In her latest offering, the mum-of-two has shocked fans again, this time telling them she’s ‘burned down her bathroom’ in a scary statement, which is accompanied by a video in which she writhes around her living room, sporting a cheetah-print leotard.
Captioning the clip in which she dances next to an open fire place, wearing tasselled black calf-length boots while performing some curious choreography, she wrote: “I dropped four sizes putting the cheetah on — Haven’t danced in a while !!! I burned my bathroom down today, ran like a maniac back to the house because there was a pie in the oven and I’m honestly tired of making sense of things these days !!!”
Britney has turned off the comments on Instagram, but some of her fans have taken to X, formerly, Twitter expressing their concern for the Overprotected star. One said: “Burned the bathroom down?! Wtf?!” While another lamented: “Poor Britney [sad face emoji]. I really hope she gets the help she needs.”
Since shooting to fame with Baby, Hit Me One More Time in 1999, Britney became one of the world‘s most famous faces, amassing legions of loyal fans, who travelled the world to see her.
However, after being thrust into the limelight aged just 16, she was then caught up in the conservatorship chaos in which her father, Jamie Spears, took control of many aspects of her life from 2008.
The conservatorship was dissolved in 2021 after a prolific #FreeBritney campaign. However, the singer then started posting bizarre videos in Instagram, including one in which she dances in her palatial pad in Los Angeles – with two huge kitchen knives.
Fans expressed their concern for the Disney star, with many saying Britney was “clearly suffering” and needed to get help. However, the singer told them not to worry as she was just ‘copying Shakira’.
She captioned the post in which she brandishes the blades with lightening speed dancing to Enigma’s Sadness: “Lighten up about the knives, I’m copying Shakira. I started playing in the kitchen with knives today.” Britney added: “Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon.”
However eagle-eyed fans weren’t convinced by her claim with one pointing out that the knives were “100 percent real” as an audible “clang” could be heard when she scraped them together.
