Jonbon (Champion Chase), Kopek Des Bordes (Supreme Novices Hurdle) and Majborough (Arkle Trophy) have attracted piles of cash from punters and have the bookies running scared.

Our live Mirror Online blogs and comprehensive digital coverage will also keep you well informed – and the festival promises non-stop iconic racing moments over the next few packed days! Day two of the festival kicks off with the Turners Novices’ Hurdle (1:20pm) with a mouthwatering battle between Final Demand and The New Lion. The declaration of The Yellow Clay adds an extra layer of intrigue. Ballyburn (2pm) was an impressive winner at the Dublin Racing Festival. He steps up in trip for the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase, where a clash with stablemate Dancing City awaits. But all eyes will be on Jonbon (4pm) in the Champion Chase. The star chaser has already won nine Grade 1s, but a Cheltenham Festival success has eluded him. He faces seven rivals, including last year’s winner Captain Guinness and Dublin Chase hero Solness.
Looking ahead to day three, eyes will be on the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle. Can Fact To File live up to the hype in the Ryanair Chase at 3:20pm? He was touted as a Gold Cup horse but finds himself here instead. Gallant King George runner-up Il Est Francais and defending champion Protektorat make it a fascinating race. The Stayers’ Hurdle (4pm) might be trickier to solve. Teahupoo justified favouritism last year and will have that tag once more. The home team is represented by the improving Lucky Place, who won the Relkeel Hurdle on New Year’s Day, plus dual Coral Cup winner Langer Dan.
