Stirring images depict protests in various countries including the UK, Korea, Israel, Germany, Turkey, and more, united in the hope of liberating Iran from its repressive theocratic rule. Participants have been seen burning images of the Ayatollah, donning Iran’s pre-revolution “Lion and Sun” flag, and displaying photos of exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah of Iran, as a potential replacement for the current regime.
Protesters in different locations like Romania, Germany, Paris, and Switzerland have shown solidarity by displaying images of Reza Pahlavi or burning pictures of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Shiite Muslims in Pakistan and demonstrators in Chile, Washington, Seoul, and London have also joined the movement, demanding an end to the Iranian government’s oppressive actions.
