Hilaria Baldwin recently shared insights into her personal health challenges in light of updates on her husband’s situation. In the latest episode of their reality series, “The Baldwins,” airing on TLC in the US and streaming on Discovery+ in the UK, viewers get a rare peek into the family life of Hilaria and Alec Baldwin with their seven children.
The show chronicles the events leading up to and following Alec Baldwin’s trial for involuntary manslaughter in New Mexico. Following the tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film “Rust” in 2021, Alec, aged 66, faced charges.
According to the Irish Star, the recent episode revealed that the charges against Alec were dropped in court. Leading up to the trial, Hilaria openly discussed the emotional toll the ordeal had on their family.
Hilaria shared, “We’ve been through a tough time. I plan to see our family therapist to ensure we are on the right track.” In a conversation with Alec about managing stress and promoting mental well-being, Hilaria revealed, “My exercise routine and daily schedule work well for me, especially with ADHD. Physical activity helps clear my mind and enhances my focus.”
Opening up about her own journey, Hilaria disclosed, “I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child, and it’s been a challenging path. Understanding it has been enlightening, but managing it requires ongoing effort.”
This revelation follows Hilaria’s previous discussions about Alec’s struggles with OCD, showcased on the show through his meticulous behavior in organizing their home.
In the series premiere, she explained, “Alec’s need for control and behaviors are influenced by his OCD… His condition has intensified leading up to his trial in New Mexico.”
Going further, Hilaria delved into Alec’s mental health struggles post-tragedy, stating, “Those close to Alec have witnessed his mental health decline. He has been diagnosed with PTSD and questions his survival during dark moments, wondering why he wasn’t the one affected.”
