Hula Hoop launches new flavour but it’s only selling in two UK supermarkets
Fans of Hula Hoop crisps in for a special treat as the well-loved brand has announced its introducing an exciting new flavour to its collection. Most of us have memories as children of eating the tasty ring-shaped snacks off our fingers, or putting them in our sandwiches for an added crunch.
Now, crisp-lovers can try their all-new smoky bacon flavour, which has been inspired by the deep, salty taste of a perfectly cooked rasher. The crisps will be available to purchase at the end of March, meaning you won’t have to wait long to get your hands on the tasty new packs. The one catch? At the moment, the crisps will only be available in two UK supermarkets. You will be able to pick them up in Asda from March 31 and Morrisons from May 19. So, if you don’t shop at either of these places, you might be out of luck.
The new Smoky Bacon flavour will be available in a 6-pack multipack at a RRP of £2.35, making them ideal for sharing. The Hula Hoop team have described the flavour as “iconic” and hope the addition will also attract new customers. Sasha Finan, Brand Manager at Hula Hoops, said: “We’re incredibly excited to add the classic Smoky Bacon flavour to the Hula Hoops lineup! Being such an iconic flavour, Smoky Bacon is sure to delight both long-time fans and newcomers alike. At Hula Hoops, we’re all about adding joyful fun to snacking moments, and this tasty new addition is perfect for shaking up your mealtimes!”
KP Snacks, the owners of Hula Hoop, have rolled out interesting new flavours in the past, like Punchy Peri Peri and Cool Sour Cream & Onion. This is on top of its existing classic flavours, like Salt and Vinegar, Cheese and Onion and BBQ Beef. The brand mentions that the crisps can be eaten in a myriad of ways, including straight from the pack, sharing them with friends, adding them to your sandwich, or stacking them on all five fingers. However, one etiquette coach has revealed that hula hoops should actually be eaten with a spoon, especially if they are being consumed from a shared bowl.
The news of Hula Hoops’ dynamic new flavour comes on the back of the exciting return of the Walkers Worcester sauce flavour , which had previously been discontinued. The brand brought back the flavour for just one day, which saw one superfan travel 150 miles just to have a taste .
