Love Island alum Anna Vakili has ended her tumultuous relationship with her on-off boyfriend Cowslick shortly after rekindling their romance. The reality TV personality, known for her stint on the ITV 2 show in 2019, disclosed the breakup on her podcast, Sisters In The City, alongside her sister Mandi Vakili.
In a preview titled ‘Anna’s Single Again,’ shared online, Anna candidly shared the details of their split while seated on a sofa. She expressed, “Yeah basically me and Cowslick have broken up,” prompting her sister’s laughter.
During the podcast, Anna acknowledged the sadness of the situation, describing it as a sense of déjà vu. Despite hoping for a lasting relationship, she admitted to being taken aback by the turn of events. Reflecting on their reunion, Anna confessed, “When I went back to him I thought I love him so much and he loves me so much so we’ll work it out.”
She emphasized the importance of mutual effort in a relationship, stating, “But it can’t be a one way street, if someone doesn’t want to make the compromises or make the changes or work through it. You have another person’s feelings in your hands.” While refraining from casting blame, she acknowledged feeling hurt by his actions but clarified that she doesn’t view him negatively, concluding, “I just don’t think I’m the right girl for him.”
The couple had recently reconciled after a previous breakup triggered by his failure to propose, a decision that Anna had been eagerly awaiting. Speaking on the Not My Bagg podcast, Anna explained that the lack of a proposal led to the end of their long-term relationship. She disclosed, “I left mine because of that,” highlighting her frustration after three and a half years of waiting for a commitment.
Anna gained fame from her participation in the 2019 edition of Love Island, notably marked by the ‘Storm Anna’ incident, where her then-partner Jordan Humes flirted with India Reynolds.
