“Samsung Unveils Freestyle+ Portable Projector at CES”

Must read

Samsung is introducing its latest portable projector, the Freestyle+, at this year’s CES tech show in Las Vegas. This compact device is an upgraded version of the previous Freestyle projector released in 2022, offering enhanced AI capabilities, improved brightness, and a wider range of entertainment options.

One of the notable enhancements with the Freestyle+ is its simplified setup process for users. By powering on the device, the projector automatically adjusts the picture through Samsung’s AI OptiScreen technology, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. This feature allows users to project on various surfaces without the hassle of tweaking settings, enabling quick access to content like Netflix or Disney+.

The AI OptiScreen technology brings additional intelligent features to optimize image quality in different lighting conditions and on various surfaces. These include 3D Auto Keystone for correcting image distortion on uneven surfaces, Real-time Focus to maintain picture sharpness while moving the projector, Screen Fit for automatic image sizing with compatible screens, and Wall Calibration to enhance image clarity by adjusting to the projection surface’s color and texture.

These innovative features aim to simplify the setup process typically associated with projectors. The Freestyle+ maintains portability, featuring a built-in speaker, Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to popular streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video.

Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business, expressed the company’s vision for the Freestyle+, emphasizing its adaptability to users’ lifestyles and spaces. The device combines portability with intelligent AI technology to optimize both the viewing environment and content, ensuring a consistent high-quality viewing experience anywhere.

While Samsung has not disclosed pricing details yet, the Freestyle+ is anticipated to hit stores early in 2026.
