Some enthusiasts of the Glastonbury Festival suspect that another surprise performer is yet to be revealed.
The lineup for the 2025 festival was unveiled last week, featuring renowned artists such as The 1975, Alanis Morrisette, Loyle Carner, Biffy Clyro, Neil Young, Charli XCX, RAYE, Doechii, Olivia Rodrigo, Rod Stewart, The Prodigy, and Noah Kahan set to perform over the weekend. The 1975, Neil Young, and Olivia Rodrigo are slated to headline the main Pyramid Stage.
Sir Rod is scheduled to perform in the Legends slot. While some attendees expressed disappointment with the lineup and threatened to sell their tickets, certain fans on Reddit speculated that a major act was missing from the list. One user raised the question, “Is it possible that there is an undisclosed headliner?” Although the festival has been known to surprise with additional acts, other fans chimed in to offer explanations in the comment section.
One fan clarified, “Each day features five headliners, with only two confirmed for some days and possibly three or four based on other sources. There could also be headliners for the Avalon and Acoustic stages, but the majority of the lineup will focus on the main stages.”
Another fan added, “The current poster does not accurately represent the headliners. For instance, Raye is not headlining on Saturday but is confirmed to perform just before Neil Young. Additionally, the headliners for Friday remain unknown as it is believed that Biffy Clyro and Alanis Morissette are not headliners.”
Addressing misconceptions, another fan explained, “The top line on the poster doesn’t necessarily indicate stage headliners. Biffy, Alanis, Raye, Rod Stewart, and Noah Kahan are not headlining any stage.” Some fans criticized this year’s lineup as “disappointing for the biggest festival in the country.”
Despite the diverse array of performers across various music genres in the lineup, some expressed disappointment with the headlining acts. One critic lamented, “Glastonbury made a mistake with those headliners, oh my goodness.”
Another dissatisfied attendee commented, “As always, the good stuff is lower on the bill, but those headliners are underwhelming for the country’s biggest festival.” Meanwhile, some fans immediately sought to sell their tickets upon the lineup’s release, with one posting, “Selling x3 Glastonbury 2025 tickets. DM for more info,” and another offering, “Selling 1 Glastonbury ticket.”
