Spelling Error Sparks Confusion on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire

Must read

Jeremy Clarkson returned for a fresh episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? on Sunday evening, accompanied by contestant Neel Clements, a GP.

Neel faced a question related to Henry VIII’s six wives, specifically about the wife he married last, known for “surviving” according to a popular rhyme. The options included Catherine Parr, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Howard, and Catherine of Aragon.

However, viewers were puzzled as all three Catherines were spelled with a K instead of the intended C, leading to confusion among fans. This discrepancy sparked reactions on social media platforms like Twitter, with many pointing out the spelling error.

Despite the spelling issue, Neel correctly answered the question by choosing Catherine Parr, allowing him to progress to the next round. Unfortunately, he stumbled on a £7,000 question later due to receiving an incorrect answer from his phone-a-friend lifeline.

Although Neel didn’t advance far in the game, he still walked away with £1,000 before bidding farewell to Jeremy and exiting the show. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? is currently in its 41st series, initially airing in 1998 with Chris Tarrant as the host until 2014. The show returned in 2018 with Jeremy Clarkson taking over as the host, delighting fans with his humor and quick wit across 21 series.

The next episode of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? will air on ITV1 and ITVX next Sunday.
