“Teacher Suspended for OnlyFans Work Sparks Controversy”

Must read

A teacher at a Catholic nursery school in Italy has been suspended for working as an OnlyFans content creator. Elena Maraga, 29, disclosed that she is unapologetic about her side job. After a parent identified her on the platform and shared the information on social media, the school placed her on leave due to conflicting values.

Elena explained that she earns approximately €1,200 (£1,000) per month from her teaching job, which she finds insufficient. She expressed that she admires her physical achievements and enjoys displaying them. Despite her passion for teaching, Elena disclosed that she makes more money online than as a teacher.

The situation has ignited a discussion in Italy, with labor unions advocating for Elena. Alvise Sponza, the general secretary of Cgil Flc in Treviso, emphasized that her private activities should not warrant dismissal. The Ministry of Education has pledged to revisit regulations concerning teachers’ social media usage.

Elena, who holds a degree in Educational Sciences and has extensive experience in nursery schools, resides with her supportive parents. She stated that although some parents disapprove of her OnlyFans involvement, others stand by her decision. Elena, also a successful bodybuilder, is pursuing a career as a personal trainer, citing a more accepting environment in that field.
