“Virgin Media TV Launches Two Free Music Channels”

Just in time for the holiday TV marathon, Virgin Media TV users are in for a treat with the launch of two new free channels. The telecom company has introduced two new FAST channels, Stingray Classica (Ch296) and Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297), offering a range of musical content such as premieres, concerts, films, and artist interviews. These channels run 24/7, ensuring there’s always something to watch whenever you tune in.

Stingray Classica (Ch296): Catering to classical music, opera, and ballet enthusiasts, this channel offers a variety of content for both experts and newcomers. With 50 annual world premieres from renowned venues, festivals, and opera houses, the channel also features documentaries, exclusive programming, and weekly premieres.

Stingray DJAZZ (Ch297): Jazz aficionados can enjoy concerts, films, profiles, interviews, and backstage reports from different venues and festivals. DJAZZ provides a diverse range of jazz content for music enthusiasts.

These new music channels expand Virgin’s existing lineup of 32 FAST channels, including options like British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime, and Haunt TV. All channels can be accessed through Virgin’s set-top boxes via the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) as part of the company’s growing FAST channel selection.

David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, highlighted the addition of the new channels, stating, “We are launching two brand new FAST channels to give our customers even more of the best entertainment Virgin TV has to offer. We’re always looking to offer our customers handpicked channels to broaden our offering which is why we’ve added two more to the mix. From classical music to jazz concerts and artist interviews, the new channels offer something for all music fans to enjoy!”
