Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale today in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks lineup features options like Worthington’s beer for 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with a mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with a mixer) also at £1.99.

Additionally, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks are included in the sale, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, and more, priced at £1.69 each. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa can be purchased for 99p each.

Food specials are also available at Wetherspoon, including an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.

For those looking for a heartier meal, customers can opt for a choice of six jacket potatoes with various fillings for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Extras like additional fillings or a side salad can be added for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are also on the menu, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic beverage.

The loaded spud features toppings like cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream. Vegetarians can enjoy the Mexican spud loaded with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, and more. The smoky potato is topped with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.

Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin stated that the January Sale aligns with the tradition of sales in department stores, offering a wide range of drinks and food to cater to diverse tastes, including a selection of low and non-alcoholic options. The sale, available in 600 pubs from January 2 (or January 3 in Scotland) until January 15, aims to be popular with customers while ensuring responsible service by pub staff. Prices may vary at Wetherspoon’s other 200 venues.
