Rescue operations at the crash site are being conducted by over 220 Civil Guard officers. Efforts are also underway to identify the victims, with three offices set up in Huelva, Malaga, and Madrid to assist families in the identification process through filing reports and providing DNA samples.

As the rescue and recovery efforts continue, it is reported that 48 injured individuals have been discharged from hospitals, while 43 remain hospitalized, with 12 in intensive care. The death toll, currently at 39, is expected to increase as the situation unfolds.

The train operators, Iryo and Renfe, provided details about the trains involved in the collision, emphasizing the passenger capacity and the sequence of events leading to the derailment. Witnesses shared their harrowing experiences during the crash, highlighting the chaos and urgency to evacuate the affected passengers.

The tragedy has deeply impacted the community, with residents gathering for a minute of silence to mourn the victims. Families of missing passengers have made emotional pleas for information on their loved ones who were aboard the trains during the accident.
