Jesy Nelson has revealed the upcoming launch of her new documentary on Amazon Prime. The documentary will chronicle Jesy’s rapid ascent to stardom with Little Mix, her transition to a solo career, and her recent journey into motherhood.
Taking to Instagram, the former Little Mix member shared her reflections on the unexpected turns in her life. She expressed her initial intention to document her pregnancy journey and the challenges she faced, including being diagnosed with a rare condition affecting her twins. Jesy recounted the emotional rollercoaster of living in the hospital for months and the overwhelming experience of bringing her babies home.
Despite the emotional weight of the documentary, Jesy expressed immense pride in sharing her story with fans and followers. She highlighted the resilience and strength of her children, emphasizing the inspiration they bring her daily.
In a recent meeting with Health Secretary Wes Streeting, Jesy advocated for newborn screening for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) after her own twins were diagnosed late with the condition. The Mirror is campaigning for SMA screening to be added to the NHS newborn heel prick test to enable early detection and treatment, aligning with global standards.
Reflecting on her personal struggles, Jesy disclosed her twins’ SMA Type 1 diagnosis and the challenges it has brought to her daily life. She emphasized the urgency of including SMA screening in routine newborn testing to prevent other families from enduring similar hardships unnecessarily.
Following the diagnosis, Jesy and her partner, rapper Zion Foster, reportedly parted ways to focus on co-parenting their daughters. The split came after the couple had announced their engagement, underscoring their shared commitment to their children’s well-being.
Amid these personal challenges, Jesy continues to advocate for improved healthcare practices and remains a source of strength and support for her family.
