Time is running out for numerous households to secure £100 in supermarket vouchers.
The Nottingham City Council is distributing these vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund, with the application deadline set at midnight.
While the council has not detailed the specific eligibility requirements, it is expected that the vouchers will be granted to individuals with low incomes or those receiving benefits. Interested individuals can submit their applications on the Nottingham City Council website.
The council intends to notify applicants via email by December 12, but the actual distribution of vouchers may extend until February 28, 2026.
A total of 10,000 vouchers will be randomly allocated to successful households, rather than on a first-come, first-served basis. Previous recipients of vouchers from the council since April 2025 are also eligible to apply.

Cheryl Barnard, Executive Member for Children, Young People, and Education at the Council, expressed satisfaction with the additional £1m allocated to support Nottingham’s most vulnerable residents during the winter months.
The funding aims to alleviate the financial strain on households facing rising living costs in recent years, particularly during the season when expenses tend to be higher.
For households in ongoing financial difficulty, the council’s website offers further guidance and potential support avenues, including various schemes and organizations.
