Konate confirmed his father’s demise and shared details about Hamady’s funeral on his Instagram account, quoting “From Him we come, and to Him we return.” The funeral is scheduled for Friday.
Before Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Roberto De Zerbi’s team, manager Arne Slot acknowledged the tough time Konate was going through. Slot mentioned missing Konate’s presence on the field alongside Virgil van Dijk.
