According to a statement from a Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson as reported by WalesOnline, the police were alerted by the ambulance service about the medical emergency involving the infant at the Ponthenri property. Despite immediate response, the baby could not be saved, and no criminal inquiries are being conducted. In a separate incident, a two-year-old girl tragically lost her life after accidentally falling into a pond on Christmas Day, despite her family administering CPR before the ambulance arrived, as disclosed during an inquest. Isobel Abigail Maxwell was given CPR for approximately 25 minutes following the incident in the family’s garden in Doncaster before being rushed to the hospital.
During the recent inquest into Isobel’s death at Doncaster Coroner’s Court, it was revealed that the family promptly initiated CPR and contacted emergency services after Isobel fell into the pond. The toddler was transferred to Doncaster Royal Infirmary where her death was confirmed later that day. The coroner adjourned the proceedings till September 14 for a full inquest, where more details will be examined.
