Amazon has introduced a range of new products that surpass its previous offerings, signaling a good time for owners of Echo, Fire TV Stick, or Kindle devices to consider upgrading. The reveal took place in New York with these updated devices set to hit Amazon’s store shelves soon.
Among the highlights are four new Echo speakers, including the Echo Dot Max and an updated Echo Studio. These revamped ball-shaped speakers not only sport a fresh look but also boast enhanced intelligence thanks to Alexa updates, along with improved sound quality. Specifically, the Echo Dot Max promises nearly triple the bass compared to the Echo Dot (5th gen).
Additionally, the Echo Studio now comes in a more compact size, 40% smaller than the original, while still promising top-notch sound performance for a smart speaker of its size. For those interested in screens, Amazon unveiled two new Echo Show speakers – the Show 8 and Show 11 – featuring upgraded displays with improved viewing experiences and adaptive ambient visuals.
Both Echo Show models come equipped with a new audio setup, including front-facing stereo speakers and a custom woofer for immersive spatial audio. Beyond the Echo speakers, Amazon also introduced the Scribe Colorsoft, an all-new Kindle model. This device, part of the Scribe series, offers a pen for screen scribbling and now comes with an 11-inch color display, ideal for reading comics and catering to artists.
The Scribe Colorsoft boasts an ultra-thin and lightweight design, textured-molded glass for a paper-like feel when using the pen, a backlight for nighttime use, a faster processor for improved performance, and weeks of battery life despite the addition of a color screen. Amazon’s new Fire TV Stick, the 4K Select, delivers enhanced 4K visuals at a more affordable price point compared to its Ultra HD counterparts.
These are just a few highlights from Amazon’s recent event, which also included new Fire TV screens and an update to the Ring Doorbell with 4K recording capabilities. All these innovative devices are set to launch soon.
