Must read

In Poland, a 35-year-old murder suspect was cleverly revealed by his own six-year-old child, who whispered a crucial clue to the police. The incident unfolded in Wola Krzysztoporska, a town near Łódź, when law enforcement received information that the wanted man, who had a prior criminal record, was hiding in a local apartment.

Upon visiting the residence on Monday, officers were initially told by the suspect’s 33-year-old partner that he was not present. However, the situation took a twist when the child hinted that “Daddy is playing hide and seek” and pointed to a sofa bed. The police checked beneath the seat and uncovered the fugitive, who was promptly arrested to begin serving a 15-year prison term.

The mother, who denied the man’s presence, may also face legal consequences, potentially up to five years in prison, as per Belgian news sources. The Regional Court in Legnica had issued the arrest warrant, with the investigation being handled by the Głogów District Prosecutor’s Office.

Assistant Inspector Edyta Daroch from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Piotrków Trybunalski confirmed the sequence of events, emphasizing the child’s pivotal role in locating the wanted individual. Meanwhile, in unrelated crime advice, a former burglar shared three crucial steps to take when faced with a home intrusion, stressing the importance of avoiding direct confrontation with intruders.
