Andrew Tate seems fully committed to his upcoming debut in Misfits Boxing, evidenced by a visible black eye he was spotted with. The former world kickboxing champion is gearing up to face actor-turned-boxer Chase DeMoor in Dubai on December 20 at Misfits 23. Tate’s last kickboxing match was five years ago against Cosmin Lingurar.
For his debut, 38-year-old Tate will challenge the reigning heavyweight champion under the Misfits banner, DeMoor. DeMoor clinched the heavyweight title last year after defeating KELZ on the AnEsonGib vs Slim Albaher undercard. He successfully defended his title against Tank Tolman and Natan Marcon earlier this year.
DeMoor’s most recent fight resulted in a draw with Efrain Carranza Gonzalez in September. Facing Tate will be his toughest test this year, as acknowledged by the American boxer himself. Tate, who revealed he has been training with notable UFC veterans, displayed a significant black eye in a recent interview with iFL TV.
In preparation for the match, Tate shared that his sparring partners, including UFC veterans, caused the eye injury, emphasizing the importance of pushing oneself during training. Despite his financial stability, Tate expressed his enthusiasm for returning to fighting, highlighting the value of seizing opportunities and living without regrets.
Excited about the challenge, Tate acknowledged DeMoor’s size, activity, and self-belief. The fight is set for December 20 at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai, with official fight times pending confirmation. Tate is scheduled to enter the ring first around 9pm UK time for the main event.
