Billionaire Umar Kamani to Sponsor Hajj Trip for Traitors Finalist

Must read

Reported billionaire Umar Kamani has generously offered to sponsor the family pilgrimage of a Traitors finalist, Faraaz Noor, who did not emerge victoriously on the show. Faraaz had expressed his desire to take his family on a pilgrimage to Mecca if he had won The Traitors.

Despite reaching the final of the popular BBC show at the age of 22, Faraaz’s hopes were dashed when his trust in Rachel Duffy backfired. Betting on Rachel and her co-conspirator Stephen Libby turned out to be a fatal mistake as they jointly voted him out of the competition.

Before bidding farewell to the show without claiming the £95,000 jackpot, Faraaz openly shared his intentions for the prize money. He emphasized the significance of Hajj, a fundamental Islamic practice, and expressed his wish to treat his family by enabling them to undertake the sacred pilgrimage to Mecca.

Hajj, an annual journey to Mecca in Saudi Arabia typically undertaken in May 2026, holds great spiritual importance for Muslims, with every adult Muslim expected to fulfill this obligation at least once in their lifetime.

Faraaz, highlighting the importance of family, underscored his desire to express gratitude by treating them. He also humorously mentioned the possibility of acquiring another vehicle if there were any funds left after the pilgrimage expenses.

Despite the setback of not winning the game, Faraaz remains hopeful and optimistic about fulfilling his dream of taking his entire family to Mecca. This dream might soon become a reality as Pretty Little Thing co-founder Umar Kamani has pledged to cover the expenses for the pilgrimage.

Umar Kamani, valued at $1 billion (£797 million) as of May 2024, has expressed his intention to sponsor Faraaz and his family’s journey to Hajj in a social media post. The generous offer from Umar, who established Pretty Little Thing at a young age, signifies his commitment to supporting Faraaz’s aspirations.

Faraaz, the penultimate faithful contestant on the show, shared his disappointment at being eliminated from The Traitors. Reflecting on the critical moment when his fate was sealed by Rachel’s vote, he candidly expressed his initial frustration and disappointment at the turn of events.
