A fatal collision occurred in Brampton in the early hours of Sunday, resulting in the death of a man, according to Peel police. The incident involved two vehicles and took place at around 1:10 a.m. near the intersection of The Gore Road and Castle Oaks Crossing. Constable Tyler Bell-Morena stated that an SUV and a minivan were both traveling south on The Gore Road when the SUV collided with the minivan at the intersection. The impact caused the SUV to lose control, ultimately overturning and ejecting the male driver, who was in his twenties, leading to his death at the scene. Following the crash, emergency services from York and Peel attended the scene and transported three individuals with non-life-threatening injuries to a nearby hospital. Police advised residents to avoid The Gore Road between Gardenbrooke Trail and Castle Oaks Crossing due to road closures resulting from the incident.
